Text tool: click on the canvas to create new text. Click an existing text object to select it, drag to move it, double-click to edit it directly.
Next preview adjustments
Applies to the preview in Screen Editor in ZX Spectrum Next Layer 2 mode. L2 / SL2 / NXI exports save the actual palette data; preview adjustments are only a preview until you apply them to the layer. The "Apply to layer" button permanently saves the adjustments to the active Next layer.

Hints
Right mouse button erases. Middle mouse button samples the attribute under the cursor and
copies INK, PAPER, Bright, and Flash
into the current editor settings. Attributes Only edits only the 32×24 attribute map.
Shape tools have live preview while dragging.
After Paste or Move Selection, a floating selection appears - drag to
reposition, Enter to commit, Esc to cancel. Any draw tool auto-commits
the float.
Levý klik v paletě = kreslicí barva, pravý klik = transparentní index.
Na canvasu levý klik kreslí, pravý maže do transparency, prostřední klik pickne barvu pod kurzorem.
Frames
Sprite: left mouse button draws, right mouse button erases. Mask: left
= add, right = remove. After manual editing, the manual label appears - ↺ Auto restores the
auto-generated version.
Cihly = pozadí, přes masku se schová podklad a pak se vykreslí glyf.
